Cooking Recipes

Egg Kottu 

Necessary Ingredients:

  • Disnies Ceylon Kos Kottu Pack
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • Cooking Oil
  • 1 Cup of cow milk

Procedure:

  • Unpack the Disnies Ceylon Kos Kottu Pack into a bowl, ensuring to exclude the 3 sachet packets. Add an ample amount of water to soak the contents and allow it to rehydrate for at least 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, transfer the soaked jackfruit to a pan and add water. Boil for approximately 10 minutes, then strain out the water.
  • Heat a pan on the stove and add 3-4 tablespoons of cooking oil. Once heated, add the dried onions from one of the sachet packets and fry for about 1 minute.
  • Crack the egg into the pan, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and scramble until cooked.
  • Next, incorporate the boiled jackfruit into the pan along with carrots, leeks, and the spice mix from the remaining 2 sachet packets. Add a cup of drinking water.
  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly using a cooking spoon or spatula, similar to preparing fried rice. Cook until the mixture begins to dry slightly.
  • Pour in a cup of cow milk and continue cooking for a few more minutes, following the same process as the previous step.
  • Your Egg Kottu is now ready to be served. Enjoy your meal!

Fish/Meat Kottu 

Necessary Ingredients:

  • Disnies Ceylon Kos Kottu Pack
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • Cooking Oil
  • 1 Cup of cow milk
  • 1 cup of Cooked/Fried/Boiled boneless Fish or Meat, chopped in to small pieces

Procedure:

  • Unpack the Disnies Ceylon Kos Kottu Pack into a bowl, ensuring to exclude the 3 sachet packets. Add an ample amount of water to soak the contents and allow it to rehydrate for at least 1 hour.

  • 1 cup of Any preferred vegetables, cashew, peas – cooked or fried in small pieces

Procedure:

  • Unpack the Disnies Ceylon Kos Kottu Pack into a bowl, ensuring to exclude the 3 sachet packets. Add an ample amount of water to soak the contents and allow it to rehydrate for at least 1 hour.
